Today, 90% of wind turbine blade recycling means landfilling, or co-firing in cement kilns — burning the blade for its fuel value while the glass chemistry is destroyed. End-of-life fiberglass boat hulls are worse off still: abandoned and derelict vessels have no recycling pathway at all. Both are the same material problem. Both are already being paid to disappear.
